Two hearts are definitely better than one as we can plainly see in the charming Stuhrling Original Women's Lifestyles Cupid Valentine Automatic Skeleton Swarovski Mother-Of-Pearl Silvertone Strap Watch Set. This whimsical timepiece begins with a round 34mm stainless steel case and exhibition case back, along with a fixed bezel and a textured crown. These elements surround a white dial textured with hearts, which is protected by a synthetic sapphire crystal and features Swarovski crystal index hour markers and silver-toned hands powered by automatic self-wind movement. The dial also features two overlapping hearts that provide a fascinating view into the watch's automatic movement. A black band with a calfskin back straps this watch to the wrist, while a silver-toned buckle clasp ensures its secure placement. As part of the gift set, this watch also comes with four interchangeable bands in different colors. Finally, this watch boasts water resistance up to 165 feet (50 meters). A striking symbol of love and affection, this timepiece will be worn with pride.

What is 925 Silver?

!±8± What is 925 Silver?

Most of us have purchased a piece of Sterling Silver; a pendant, charm, bracelet, earrings or even a picture frame, and have seen the "925" stamped or engraved into the back of it, sometimes followed with the word "silver". What exactly does this mysterious "925" stamp mean? Way back, just a few centuries ago, a number stamped into a silver item was used more as a serial number for the maker, to guarantee its' authenticity. Today, the stamped "925" means something completely different.

Silver, especially Sterling Silver Jewelry, is usually stamped or engraved with "925" on the back. The stamp can vary as either: "925", ".925", or "92.5". What this means is actually very simple! It simply states that the item is 92.5% silver. The "925" is a modern-day guarantee that the item you purchased is made of high, silver content and is of quality. So what's in the other 7.5%?

The other 7.5% of the item is where you have to be careful. Depending on the country of origin, the other 7.5% could be nickel, copper, or even lead! Thankfully, for most of us in Europe and North America, the silver we purchase in necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, is probably made stronger through the use of copper. Copper is stronger and more durable, and even with the rising economy, still cheaper than silver. In the U.S., our silver is screened for content and most reputable jewelry makers are staying away from leaded silver made in China and other manufacturing companies. Always be sure to ask or look on the website before purchasing, just to be safe!
